SODOM & GOMORRAH

Harry Truman proclaimed that a person with a thorough knowledge of world history could, with a fair degree accuracy, predict the future.  He may or he may not have been the author of this adage but he firmly believed it.  In his book, Slouching Toward Gomorrah, Robert Bork seems to agree with the former president of our country.

It is not only a Biblical fact, but is also a historical fact that many years ago the city kingdoms of Sodom and Gomorrah did exist.  It is common knowledge that the entire population of these cities were seduced by the sinful practice of homosexuality into such a vile and evil decadence that they were destroyed by the wrath of Almighty God.  THIS DID HAPPEN!  To this day, a certain sexual act is named after the city of degradation – Sodom!

Down through the ages all major religions of the world have deemed the practice of homosexuality to be a sin, to be unnatural and unclean in the eyes of our Creator.  Most people of all faiths abhor these practices.  Their faith teaches them to love the sinner but despise his sins.

The gay communities of this nation, male and female have been on a nationwide crusade to legitimize their sins and have their decadent lifestyles accepted as normal.  With the help of the liberal judgeocracy (a term coined by Robert Bork I believe) of this nation , they are succeeding!  A very small minority is now imposing, by law, the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah upon this nation. Our public schools are now, this very day, teaching our children and grandchildren that the sins of this minority should be, and is, an acceptable lifestyle.  If we as citizens do not accept this decadent lifestyle, we are ostracized by the sinister practice of political correctness.  Some of our churches, our mosques and our synagogues are by instruction and insinuation introducing this acceptance into their midst.

Liberal socialistic practices of irresponsibility and dependency have been taught to the American people over the past thirty or forty years.  This has done enough damage to the integrity of our society.  Now, we are faced with the sins of perdition entering into and destroying the very fabric of our civilization, the family unit!

One of the saddest things I have ever witnessed was a television program where two lesbians living together as a married couple, were being interviewed.  Each expressed their delight in being blessed with the natural instincts of motherhood.  They wanted to be a mother!  Yet, they by choice had yielded to the unnatural and sinful desires of homosexuality.  They sought to circumvent the divinely instituted methods of parenthood and would try to satisfy the desires of motherhood through artificial insemination or adoption.  They completely denied the necessity or the importance of a father to the well being of any child!  It is even sadder to see a couple of  homosexual men deny, by adoption, the motherly love which is so necessary to a child’s happiness and well being.

In 1933 the German nazi party were a very small minority.  Actually, they were less than one percent of the total population of the country.  Yet, they were able to seduce the German people into accepting, believing and practicing the sins of fascism and proceeded on a methodical path of genocide and murdered six million innocent people.  This nation was defeated and destroyed, confirming once again, that the wages of sin is death!

Down through history, the sins of homosexuality have been inconsistent with civilized society.  Will our grandchildren stand midst the rubble of the greatest civilization the world has ever known and cry out to a distant God for deliverance? 

Based on history, Harry Truman would have thought so.  I tend to agree!
