POLITICAL CORRECTNESS/POSTMODERNISM

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a charmer. He had an over abundance of audio charisma. His fireside chats with the people of the United States over the radio, a new form of instant and mass audio communications left him virtually without political rivals. It is no wonder that he was in his fourth term as president of the United States when he died.

Roosevelt was an amoral egotist and a liberal elitist. The liberal and the left wing philosophy of the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration brought with it a national mentality of standardization. Individual liberties and freedom be damned! We must conform to a national standard of conduct. We know what is best for you! Since that time, we the American people have been urged by law, or by hook or crook, to strive for a sameness. We became a nation of apers – monkey see, monkey do!

This was the birth of a relatively new phenomena; a communal volition (thought process) entity all it’s own, yet being dependent upon instant and mass communications. It has now become a thing we call "political correctness!"

When I was a high school student in the early 1940’s our principal read an article about the comments of the radio news media concerning an address by our president the previous day. The only thing that I remember about this event was the afterthoughts of one of the news commentator. "It is a matter of fact, you can only believe 30% of what you hear and only 70% of what you see!" The commentator was the distinguished Lowell Thomas.

Political correctness is secular and is clearly an aberration of trust, truth, honor and love. It goes far beyond the maximization of the media to communicate. If the premise upon which an argument is based or from which a conclusion is drawn is lacking these qualities it becomes as a "resounding brass and a tinkling cymbal!" It is related to mass hysteria. Political correctness is a neurosis and it is being fed by our inability to discern the truth; even the 30% that Lowell Thomas considered to be the norm.

John Rocker, a baseball player for the Atlanta Braves is a prime example of the evils of political correctness. When asked by a magazine reporter John Rocker answered in a story like fashion. He created, in his mind, a mental image complete with characters, all of them displaying irresponsible conduct. He went on to express his displeasure of having to repeat his train journey day in and day out. He did not utter any personal remark about anyone during this response. John Rocker by exercising his freedom of speech unknowingly placed himself before a mass jury of neurotics. This vocal jury expresses no desire whatsoever to discern the truth! They are unable to get past the words John Rocker used to describe the irresponsible conduct of his characters. These words were not politically correct.

The science of political correctness has evolved into a separate entity unto itself. It has taken on a life of it’s own. We are now into a process of purging certain undesirable words from our dictionaries and language. God, help us!

John Rocker’s story is proof that any innocent citizen of this country can unknowingly and unwillingly be placed before this jury of unlawful, uncaring, irresponsible and neurotic pundits of the news media.

Let us go back to the height of the depression during his inaugural address in which Roosevelt made his famous or infamous statement "All we have to fear is fear itself!" This was a cliché of a scoundrel that was taken off the top of his head. A meaningless statement, after the fact, to say the least. The media pundits of the instant and mass communications of radio turned this moot ploy into a thing of substance. A ploy, that would evolve, within my lifetime, into a science of political correctness.

This was my first experience with this aberration! The American public literally gave up their right to think for themselves fearful of what might happen to them if they questioned the validity of this evolving entity that will eventually be our undoing.

Ironically Roosevelt’s moot cliché then becomes valid to some degree.

This amoral president packed the Supreme Court with jurists that marched to his liberal tune. The findings and rulings were not based on historical fact and legal precedent. The wrongful decisions by these leftist and liberal jurists were based upon the fabrications created by the evolving science of political correctness! At this point in history our very existence as free men became subject to fiat rather a Constitutional representative type of government. The deterioration has been continuing since that time.

Since the inaugural of Roosevelt there has been a detrimental influence gradually exerted upon the lives of every citizen of this country as a result of political correctness. Over the years we seem to be caught up into a gradualism of public irresponsible conduct that has no doctrine, tenet, rhyme or reason.

Where is the public outrage when Michael Jordan publicly teaches his Washington Wizards players how to cheat and get away with it? Yet, the same neurotic jury calls John Rocker a racist, suspends him for two months, fines him $20,000.00 and demands a psychiatric examination. This unchecked irresponsible and public supported conduct without rhyme or reason will lead us directly into anarchy!

A forgotten piece of history! In Chicago circa the 60‘s during the Democratic National Convention, Mayor Richard Daley had the foresight to use every ounce of strength, brute force and manpower the Chicago police force could muster to put down the riots foisted upon his city by this thing called political correctness aided and abetted by one of our most distinguished TV news media pundit, Walter Cronkite. Without this unsung hero, Mayor Daley, anarchy would have welcomed an unsuspecting and ignorant public the following morning!

This scared the hell out of the irresponsible TV news media pundits. They were by then incapable of being responsible so they merely gave this monster a name and went on their merry way. This new anomaly, now approaching maturity, became known as political correctness!

Political correctness got us into an Asian war. Political correctness sapped our nation of our will to win it!

Why should we care? We have our best brains doing our thinking for us! Oh well, we don’t have the time to think about that anyway.

Why should we care about the right to own a gun? Let’s register every last one them like automobiles. That would turn a guaranteed right into a privilege, but oh well, who cares anyway?

Why should we worry about this matter of church and state? Of what significance is one little prayer anyway?

I believe in free speech! Hellfire man, that is something that is guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States. Well, that is except those racists and those ignorant homophobes like John Rocker!

Sure I believe in freedom of religion but those people on the Religious Right are weirdo’s and something ought to be done about them!

I am here to tell you that the O. J. Simpson jury was a model of responsibility! They were picked from the list of register voters. To vote? You merely have to go through the drive in window at the highway patrol. Identification? No way, they will register anyone that drives up.

I realize that God gave man the free will to choose. Everyone except the gay community!

It is who I am, bro! African American! That is politically correct. And don’t you forget it!

To hell with spiritual and family values, same sex marriage is OK with me!

After the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt America was unable to produce a political mind, especially a president, who was capable of understanding his genius and ability to manipulate this gradual, self-perpetuating, and growing anomaly.

Ronald Regan maximized the use of the press but he was by far too moral and ethical to manipulate the irresponsibility of political correctness for his personal glory or fame. Most of our presidents after the Roosevelt era were honorable men.

In 1991, a political genius devoid of ethics and morals decided to run for the president of the United States. This man William Jefferson Clinton, Governor of Arkansas, a handsome charmer with charisma and personality knew he could win the presidency.

He knew the history of Franklin Roosevelt like the back of his hand. He also knew that America had not produced another politician for some sixty years that understood the science of political correctness. This immoral genius knew he too would virtually have no rivals. Since Roosevelt, the instant and mass communications has combined audio with video rendering a much more potent and lethal dialogue!

Bill Clinton, more than anyone alive today knows and understands the science of political correctness. This man was able to use the mass communications of this nation to bend it and to mold it into serving his own selfish desires. He knew that the pundits of this relative short lived news media, unlike the mature and responsible written press (newspapers), were immature, irresponsible and devoid of ethics and morals. Political correctness was his to manipulate!

This political Elmer Gantry won the presidency by overcoming the popularity of the hero of the recent mid-east war, Desert Storm. He understood that he could make his spin through the liberal TV news media "it’s the economy, stupid" stick to his opponent like glue.

Through the manipulation of political correctness he was able to overcome numerous sexual scandals, shady deals, lies, and a host of other immoral and unethical conduct. It saved his presidency from being convicted of the charges during the impeachment proceedings in the U. S. Senate.

Through a loose knit conspiracy of the liberal TV news media, the NEA and the labor unions he was able to come back, from the Republican take over in the congress and senate in 1995. He was then able to rise from the ashes of certain defeat and go on to be re-elected in 1996.

Like Franklin D. Roosevelt before him Bill Clinton knows that he is virtually without political rivals; and also like his predecessor over fifty years ago, only death will be his nemesis!

Bill Clinton will occupy the White House again. As Hillary’s husband!

We have seen the birth of political correctness and it’s gradual evolving process for over seventy years. A combination of a self-perpetuating liberal and evil desire for a national standardization of conduct and it’s immoral, unethical and irresponsible apostles; the pundits of radio and television.

Can we seriously deny that Franklin Roosevelt and Bill Clinton, both devoid of ethics and morals, were not coconspirators in this still evolving science of political correctness?

You be the judge. Monkey see, monkey do!

I think too much!

This morning I got up with the idea that I was probably the only sane person in this whole wide world. Then it dawned upon me that this was the most positive signs and the surest indications that I was as crazy as a bed bug!

All of this came about because of my theory of an evolving science of political correctness.

Please consider this as a search for saneness or at least a self induced attitude adjustment of some sort. I just realized when I woke up this morning, that political correctness and postmodernism are synonymous. Not necessarily identical, but very, very similar. So much so that it warrants recognition to make my theory complete.

Over the past several years while I was studying the pundits of the TV news media, and in the process of finalizing my theory, a new word kept appearing over and over; the word is postmodernism. The best definition I have been able to come up with is "up-to-dateism" or "being in the now." A pretentiousness! Postmodernism is a byproduct of the science of political correctness.

Political correctness/postmodernism is absolutely overjoyed with the fact that America can now be classified as a multiple-cultured nation. They seem to take delight in our disunity. The apostles of this evolving science, over the past several years, seems to be doing everything within their power to sub-divide the immigrants, legal and illegal, and all the other new comers to our nation into factions. This includes the ethnic groups, large and small, that have been in our midst for generations. They seek to deprive these groups of a distinctive ethical and moral understanding of whom we, the American people, really are.

Any nation, and especially America, the melting pot of the entire world, must maintain this understanding of a mutual, moral and ethical vision for all our people. We must retain this vision and be able to express and communicate its forever changing relevance and significance into a permanent inclusion of a strong historical identify of our very own.

If within our own and our forever evolving historical culture, we forget to recognize its source and its true value, then we will actually find ourselves kicking a dead horse!

These synonyms, so alike and yet both promoting pretense over reality, can be easily defined as a result of the absence of certain principles.

They do not conform to the knowledge, fact, or actuality of any given situation contrary to their own liking. They do not adhere to the truth. Truth is always dosed out by degrees in order to obtain the effects of the desired spin that they seek.

They also seem to be devoid of reality. They only tend to see the things as they want them to be; therefore robbing the public of their own sense of perception.

As a result the images they present is neither true nor real. The mental pictures they paint, somewhat resembles and conveys only the images of their very own idealism!

Again, devoid of truth and reality, they always place a bogus meaning to their intended purposes.

They seem to have taken Thomas Jefferson literally when he said in the Declaration of Independence that "All men are created equal." They are continually chasing this idealistic impossibility!

Finally they overcome us with words and a thoughtful mind can find doubt in each and every one of them!

Christianity has for over two thousand years been the guiding force that has provided the moral and ethical framework of three basic institutions that man and God share as a joint venture. They are the family, the church and thanks to our divinely inspired Constitution, a government of citizen participation!

The apostles of the science of political correctness have done their job well. Born as an oral aberration of instant and mass communications it has now spread throughout the written press, almost totally and completely. Their tenets of secularism have permeated into the core of our basic institutions of church, family and government dimming the moral and ethical vision as a living light to find our way as a free people.

The continuous abuse of certain social freedoms without self-imposed responsible restrictions by the apostles of any powerful public entity will always result in altering the human characteristics they touch; from moral, to amoral, and to immoral. Always!

These abuses, over time, seem to become the rightful and acceptable standard or norm. The instant and mass communications of TV and radio touches the entire nation!

Are we witnessing the birth of a new godless religion called postmodernism?
